“‘Relic of Damnation’ è stato il mio riff preferito del disco, ma è stata una canzone difficile da finire. Sapevo di avere un classico con quell’atmosfera tipo Metallica, Slayer che amo così tanto, ma non mi è mai piaciuta la voce e ho provato tre o quattro diverse versioni dopo la demo. La voce è stata eseguita in un’unica ripresa ed è la mia parte preferita dell’album. Adoro anche le voci che si scambiano alla fine tra me e Justin Fornof. Relic è una bomba ed è sempre stato un punto fermo dei nostri live si dal primo concerto! Sono così eccitato che la gente possa finalmente ascoltarla su disco!
Il video è il finale della nostra trilogia DeathWestern con il regista Todd Hailstone. È fantastico poter lavorare con il mio amico di lunga data, lo conosco da una vita, da quando eravamo due punk rocker al liceo. Ha preso la mia visione di fumo di pistola, gore e heavy metal e ha lavorato su tre video incredibili. Probabilmente è stato un po’ ambizioso fare una trilogia cinematografica che si diffonde su due album ma penso che il risultato parli per sé.”

The restless Stu Folsom (head of SpiritWorld) is also pleased to announce the release of his book Godlessness, which will also be released on November 25th.
The book is a collection of short stories written by Stu Folsom. Inspired in equal parts by the western pulp of Louis L’Amour, the novels of Cormac McCarthy, and the twisted horror of Clive Barker, Godlessness is the fictional companion piece of SpiritWorld’s debut Pagan Rhythms (2021) and upcoming follow up, DEATHWESTERN (2022).
Dedicated to the memory of, and edited in part by, Power Trip’s Riley Gale, who died unexpectedly in 2020, Godlessness was initially released as a limited-edition paperback.

SpiritWorld emerged in 2017 as a musical outlet for Folsom’s love of punk, outlaw country and metal. SpiritWorld’s earliest efforts took a decidedly outlaw roots punk bent.
